Level 3 Internationally Certified Instructor

Mr. Liam Finn

3rd Degree Blackbelt
Internationally Certified Instructor
Program Director/ Assistant Instructor

Hello,

I’m Mr. Liam Finn,

My martial arts journey began when my sister and I joined together during elementary school. It was an incredible experience to earn our
black belts alongside each other.

I became an instructor shortly after being a helper on the mat. I loved helping out, and that passion grew into a commitment to teaching.

What I enjoy most about teaching martial arts is when I see a student truly understand a technique and get excited about doing it correctly. Those moments of excitement are what make teaching so rewarding.

Martial arts has helped me build confidence, especially when it comes to speaking in front of others. The skills I gained on the mat translated into other areas of my life, giving me the courage to step out of my comfort zone.

As an instructor, my goals are to have fun and inspire my students to be the best version of themselves. I want them to feel confident in who they are and know that they can achieve great things. I also enjoy promoting friendly challenges that help my students grow in both skill and character.ello

To build strong relationships with my students and their families, I make an effort to talk to families about their students and relate to them on a personal level. It’s important to me that every family feels connected to our community.

The values I hope to instill in my students are self-confidence and humility. I want them to be proud of their accomplishments while staying grounded and respectful. To grow as an instructor, I set personal goals each testing cycle to ensure my students are always improving and
reaching their potential.

One fun reason I started martial arts?

Honestly,
I was inspired by watching SpongeBob do karate! It was something that looked
fun, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Some of my
favorite moments are seeing my students earn their black belts and go on to
become junior leaders—it’s incredible to watch their growth and be a part of
their journey.
