Hello,
I’m Mr. Joaquin Mayuri.
My martial arts journey began when I was around seven years old, inspired by my older brother Alexander, who was already training. I thought it would be something fun, new, and exciting—and it turned out to be exactly that and so much more.
I chose to become a martial arts instructor because it was a great opportunity for me to grow and become a better leader. Over time, I discovered a passion for teaching and a love for seeing my students succeed. What I love most about teaching martial arts is having a positive impact on my students and helping them grow into strong individuals with good values.
Martial arts has had a significant impact on my personal growth, especially in building my confidence. As an instructor, my goal is to continue doing this for as long as possible, and one day, I hope to open my own martial arts school. I believe in building strong relationships with my students by getting to know them on a deeper level—beyond just martial arts training.
The values I hope to instill in my students are confidence in themselves and respect for others. I also enjoy challenging myself to become a better instructor by finding new and interesting ways to teach drills, keeping the classes engaging and fun for everyone.
One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing my students having fun and laughing while practicing martial arts. Those moments remind me why I love what I do and inspire me to keep growing as an instructor.
