Owner, Head Instructor

Master Palmer

6th Degree Blackbelt
Internationally Certified Instructor
Chief Instructor at Pride Martial Arts

Hello,

I’m Master Candidate Joshua Palmer,

My martial arts journey began when my parents enrolled me to help me stay active, develop focus, and improve physical fitness while having fun. Over time, what started as an after-school activity turned into a lifelong passion.

I chose to become a martial arts instructor because it felt like becoming a superhero. When I had the unexpected opportunity to teach my first class, I grabbed it, and I’ve been teaching ever since. There’s nothing quite like being able to inspire others and share the incredible benefits of martial arts.

What I love most about teaching martial arts is the opportunity to work with each of my students. Every student brings something unique to the mat, and I feel privileged to be a part of their martial arts journey. Seeing their dedication and progress motivates me every day.

Martial arts has influenced every part of my life. It has taught me patience, kindness, and respect—lessons that extend far beyond the dojang. The confidence and resilience I’ve gained from martial arts have shaped how I approach every challenge, and it’s my goal to help my students experience that same growth.

As the owner and head instructor, my goal is to create an environment where every student feels welcomed, motivated, and supported. I want my students to become the best version of themselves through hard work, discipline, and a sense of community. Seeing my students achieve their goals is the most rewarding part of what I do.

To continue growing as both a martial artist and an instructor, I set personal challenges for myself and work hard to meet them. I love training, I love teaching, and I strive for excellence, not just for myself, but for my students and our entire Pride Martial Arts community.
